Maurten GEL 100

Maurten Gel 100 is an energy hydrogel designed for rapid carbohydrate replenishment during sports performance. One 40g serving contains 25g of carbohydrates and 100 kcal.

Maurten uses its own Hydrogel Technology, which allows carbohydrates to be transported through the stomach to the intestines, where they are absorbed. The gel has a simple composition of only six ingredients and contains no added flavourings, colourings or preservatives.

Hydrogel Technology

Maurten Gel 100 is not a classic energy gel. It is based on Hydrogel technology, where carbohydrates are contained within the hydrogel structure.

The hydrogel passes through the stomach to the intestines, where its structure breaks down and carbohydrates are absorbed.

The result is a concentrated energy source designed for use during intense and prolonged sports performance.

The body has a limited ability to absorb carbohydrates from a single source. Therefore, Maurten combines glucose and fructose, which use different transport mechanisms in the intestine.

Maurten Gel 100 uses a glucose to fructose ratio of 1:0.8. One gel contains 25g of carbohydrates.

Thanks to this, Gel 100 can be easily combined with other Maurten products when creating an individual fuelling plan according to the duration and intensity of the performance.

The gel does not need to be consumed with water. However, during sports performance, it is necessary to replenish fluids independently according to the duration and intensity of the activity.

For longer performance, adjust the number of gels to your total target carbohydrate intake per hour.
